Most UnitedHealthcare plans include outpatient mental health care, and both federal and Colorado parity laws require that coverage to be on par with medical care. Members generally have access to:
Ongoing outpatient therapy with a licensed therapist, typically in 45–60 minute sessions billed at your in-network rate.
Telehealth sessions. UHC covers video therapy on most plans, and Colorado requires state-regulated plans to cover telehealth on the same terms as in-person care.
Direct scheduling. Most UHC plans let you start therapy without a referral from a primary care provider. A few plan designs differ, and we'll flag it if yours does.
Couples therapy, depending on the plan. Some plans cover it when one partner has a diagnosis being treated; we'll check yours.
To look up your own benefits, sign in at myuhc.com or call the behavioral health number on your card.
In-network pricing. You pay your plan's in-network cost share, and we handle the claims with UnitedHealthcare and Optum.
No guessing about cost. We verify benefits before your first session, so you know your copay or coinsurance and deductible up front.
Openings for new clients. We're taking new UHC clients and keep the time from intake to first session short.
Care that reaches the whole state. One telehealth practice serving the Front Range, the Western Slope, the San Luis Valley, and the Eastern Plains.
Therapy built around trauma and the nervous system. Our clinicians use evidence-based methods such as CBT, EMDR, and somatic approaches to work on what's underneath the symptoms.
Teens, adults, and couples. Individual therapy for ages 13 and up, plus couples and marital therapy.

Please review our financial policies carefully before your first appointment
We require all insurance information (both primary and secondary) to be uploaded as part of your appointment request. We verify benefits before confirming scheduling to ensure we accurately understand your coverage and can match you with the best-fit therapist for your needs.
We do require a credit card on file for all clients (even if you have Medicaid). The requirement is in case your insurance lapses we have a means to charge for the session. No charges are otherwise allowed for Medicaid. For commercial plans, we will charge the card on file if you have a co-pay.
Appointments canceled within 24 hours or missed without notice will incur the full session fee (we do not charge a fee for Medicaid clients). More than two late cancellations or no-shows within a six-month period may result in termination of care, as consistent attendance is essential for providing ethical and medically necessary treatment.
